My sister and I came here for a weekend lunch and had a great time. Even though Google said they opened at 11:30am, we luckily didn't get there until just after noon because they actually open at noon. The restaurant is much larger inside than we'd expected, with a large dessert case up front full of cookies, cakes and other sweet treats. There was no one at the door to greet us, so after waiting for a bit, we grabbed menus off the dessert counter and sat in one of the many booths. We ordered hot tea and Turkish coffee, both of which were very good. The coffee came with "sugar" which is better described as a sweet, lightly rose-scented gummy cube - unexpected but tasty. Being new to Turkish food, we had the Mixed Grill - chicken, beef, pork - and a feta pide, which is like a football-shaped flatbread with a delicious, chewy crust. Both were very good and gave us a chance to sample a number of things from the menu. We of course also grabbed some desserts to go - chocolate Madeleines and an eclair which were also very good. The whole staff is very friendly. We'd definitely go back again.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. It was my first time having Turkish food and it easily became my favorite place to eat. Prices are great for the quality of food. Presentation was amazing and the food is tasty. I cannot gush about this restaurant more! The desserts look and taste gourmet. (I recommend the Tiramisu!)

One of my favorite places to go to it’s such a beautiful hidden gem 💎❤️ hand slaughter food at its finest if you never had Turkish food I wouldn’t recommend everyone else! I love the one brother who the waiter works hard to make sure our food is correct ✅ very nice people to talk to and ask. Huge dessert section that’s a big plus + for those who have sweet tooth 🦷 if I had to recommend a dish hands down it would be beyti kebab and the pastrami pide! I never knew pasta and kebab can go together and having pastrami on your cheese bread blows my mind. Love this place come get your Turkish food here ❤️❤️❤️

The restaurant has a nice spacious atmosphere. The food could be prepared much better, and the issue I had was that the portions were quite small—even for me, and I don’t eat much. The staff is friendly, but the restrooms were extremely dirty.

I recently visited Sofra Restaurant & Bakery in Buffalo and had a great experience. The place is spotless, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff—including the owner—were friendly and attentive.

All meats are halal, and the bakery has an impressive variety of sweet and savory items, from rice pudding and cakes to tres leches and my favorite, künefe. Was made to order, which should be, warm and crispy, though a bit sweet for my taste. Also offered Turkish tea that goes well with it.

The lahmacun had a thin, crisp crust and excellent flavor—one of the better ones I’ve had in the U.S. I only wish they had fresh parsley to pair with it.

Highly recommend, and I’ll be back on my next visit to Buffalo.

No tourist crowds here & no crazy tourist trap prices! While visiting the Niagara Falls area my husband was craving authentic home style Turkish food. Sofra made our last day in the area a happy memorable one with every dish being perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. The Kimali pide, mixed grill, lamb chops, manti, & lamacun were all so delicious we left so stuffed. They also have an extensive bakery & desert selection but we unfortunately could not fit another bite. It all looked so good tho! Service was excellent. The space is airy, spotlessly clean, new & elegant with minimal decor. There’s free parking out front and the menu prices are reasonable. If you want an excellent meal I highly recommend Sofra. You will thoroughly enjoy your dining experience here.

Only recently found out about this place, and I somehow ended up going 3 times in the matter of a week! Love the flavors, the staff is super nice. I like the lamb and the chicken the most but get yourself a Mixed Grill to find your favorite.

The desserts are in a field of their own, so much variety and they’re all great! I just need the staff to teach me all the pastry names, I just call them tasty.

Great tasting food and nice presentation of dishes, a wide open area and feels like home. Turkish food top notch, and very courteous of them not to charge for Turkish tea. We ordered Lahmacun, Dolmas, Pide and mixed grill. Mixed grill meats were cooked perfectly and perfect combo with flavored rice and salads. Good price for quality food, highly recommend as I was recommended to come by a friend! Staff was attentive and welcoming to us, and all food Halal alhamdullilah

The food is delicious, clean, and authentically prepared. The dessert was very fresh and good. The space is open and well-organized. Their hospitality is warm, and the Istanbul-themed paintings bring back memories of that unforgettable city. The bread is hot and fresh. Tea is served with the meal and is very enjoyable. The music selection is excellent and enhances the atmosphere.

I’ve been here twice and tried 2 different kabobs and 2 different deserts. I just tried the Beyti kabob and it was delicious and I’m kicking myself for not taking a picture of it. They have a huge baked goods counter with the most adorable baked goods. My first time in there I saw a unicorn cake! I’ve tried one of the pudding cups and cheesecake. Both were good. They have a large menu and bakery. I’ll definitely be going back. I think I want to try a Pide next!

We went in at 9:00 when the restaurant closes at 9:30 and were surprised with how welcoming everyone was. The food was delicious, good portions, good prices and excellent services. The desserts also looked so good but we were so full by the end of the night so we’ll have to come back! We ended up staying until about 10:00 and the servers were so accommodating and nice about it.

Amazing clean restaurant near airport. They do Turkish food right. Went there twice and didn’t disappoint. It’s very spacious and clean and has ample tables for large and small groups. They also have a good selection of desserts that are must try. Don’t forget Turkish tea or coffee.

This is the 1st time I am ever taking the time to write something negative and to actually post such an experience….BUT, as a Turk, this was an absolute worst Turkish Restaurant experience possible: just the service is atrocious, the food is no where near anything good, and the this is a disgrace to the Turkish culinary…..please don’t eat here….im sorry but I cannot recommend any of the appetizers or main meal - just horrible but, the bread is ok.

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing. I tried chef’s special. The meat is juicy and very delicious. The music was relaxing and it is the right kind of music for eating. You should try paca soup too. Kids enjoyed the food and my daughter gave 10 out of 10 for this place 🙂

I can't stop thinking about this place! This was my first experience ever having Turkish food and I already want to go back again right away. There was a bit of a wait from start to finish because the staff seemed a bit stretched thin (they were super busy, lots of families there that day) but honestly, the wait didn't bother me at all, especially once I started eating! The hummus was a great starter, and the warm, fresh bread it came with was perfect. The gyro pide was nice to share too, the meat and cheese in the dish went together fantastically. To top everything off, the mixed grill showed up right as we finished the pide, and it truly capped off an incredible dinner: the meats were all tasty, the rice was super flavorful, and the veggies that went with it were a nice compliment. Overall, a perfect food experience. The food trumps all in this visit, and it's one that I plan on repeating for as long as I can!

My wife and I are huge foodies and when we found out there was a new Turkish restaurant that opened, we knew we had to visit. But with a few bad experiences, I think it’s safe to say that we might not come back. The first visit they had us wait almost 15 minutes just to tell us the restaurant was booked. The staff saw us and kept serving other people while a line was forming. We decided to go again a few weeks later and got seated. We ordered the lamb chop, shish kabob, cheese pide, and baba ganoush. The food tasted good especially the kabob but the lamb chop was burnt and felt extremely overvalued for the amount you get. It was so unpleasant that I was not able to finish it. We also got baklava and rice pudding dessert off of their sweets display. The restaurant itself is very clean and elegant with a nice chandelier being the centerpiece. But a lot of empty areas and a seating arrangement similar to a cheap buffet, it feels out of place. The best thing about the interior is definitely the sweets display. If I were to go back, it would only be for the sweets. That being said, we ended up paying upwards of $100 Without tip! If you’re craving for some Turkish cuisine and don’t mind how much you’ll be paying, then sure, go crazy. But we feel that the quality didn’t match up with the price you pay. The portions were anemic and the burnt, undersized lamb chop left a bad taste in my mouth. No pun intended.

From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance whisked me away to what felt like the heart of Turkey. 🇹🇷 The mixed grill, a true masterpiece, was cooked to perfection, offering a succulent variety of flavors that danced on my palate. 🍢 The Dolma, delicately wrapped and bursting with taste, were a delightful testament to authentic Turkish cuisine. 🍇

While I found the salads a bit lacking compared to the other dishes, they were still fresh and crisp. 🥗 A slight tweak in the dressing could elevate them to the stellar standards of the rest of the meal. However, the lotus caramel cake was the crowning glory of the evening. 🍰 Its exquisite blend of sweet lotus and rich caramel left me savoring each bite long after the meal ended.

I would highly recommend Sofra Restaurant & Bakery to anyone looking to indulge in an authentic Turkish culinary journey. The hospitality was as warm as the food was delicious, making the entire dining experience truly remarkable. Will definitely be back for more! 🌟👍
